Tilda in Pink

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing great. Here is my new card with a Magnolia Tilda image in pink. I wanted to start of with a very pale pink, but finally turned it out to have quite a darker shade of pink. I have used lots of layering with four different pattern papers, and was tough to co-relate the shades. I have used lace to give it some kind of texture. Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks and Glossy accents has been used for a little bit of interest. Finally, embellished with some pearls, ribbon and flowers. I hope its a nice shabby chic card, I am loving this style so much that I keep adoring this style and am learning a lot too :)

Blue and Black Card

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing great. Its been three months since I posted on the blog, I had been crafting, but somehow did not participate in challenges.Ok, onto my new card that I created. Its a shabby chic card. I wanted to make this card, the moment I came to know about Izzy, wondering who Izzy is? She is the cutie image on the card. I bought this one from Di's Digistamps , you can find lots of cuties there. I have coloured her with Distress Inks, did a lot of selt training with colouring of DI's. Hope, I have improved, and yes lots to improve more on.Done some layering using pattern papers, using it after a long time.I have also added lace of which very little is seen, I wonder how shabby chic card designers so gracefully do this sytle. I feel one needs to have more patience in arranging them to achieve perfection.

Triple Circular Easel Card

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing great. Here's my new card, quite a different from the ones that I do. I made an interactive card for the first time, and yes its a triple circular easel card, a very funky card and I had great fun creating this. Onto the card, I used the Lacy circles nestabilites from the biggest to the mid size to create the three easels. Not much of layering this time, I used just one layer pattern paper on each of the easels, and then some embellishing with flowers, butterflies and pearls. The focal image is a Tilda with the flowers coloured with Distress Inks, I wanted to depict the garden theme and I thought that this was the right focal image to go on  the topmost easel.Well made all the three easel cards and then finally cascaded them all together to form one single card.

Here is a pic of the full and the side views,

Here is a pic of the first, second and the third easel (I didn't want to have a picture heavy post, so I decided to have them collaged)

White on white card

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing great. Here's my new card, fully white. I have really fallen in love with this type of cardmaking :). Well, lots of layers with embossing. On the white card base, I used the MS punch for the "L" shaped border, and added two strips of embossed layers. Used the nestabilities to add the sentiment, for the first time, I tried out heat embossing and really loved the way its come up. Added some intricate die cut which I had a tough time cutting it, finally made the blooms, you can find these blooms on all my cards, I love this die to the core, some MS monarch punch butterflies. Finally, embellishing with a bow and some pearls.

Card after a long time

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing great. Well, I was on the vacation to my hometown Bangalore for Dussera celebrations, and also my daughter Dhriti has joined the playschool, and I am with her in the school till she gets used to it,so my crafting mojo went down :)

Okay, onto the card, I love the white and pink combo and could not resist on trying my hands on it, the momemt I saw the challenge hosted on DCAM challenges. Thanks to all the DT's who make our brains work and I write this on almost all my posts.

A little bit onto the card description. The card base is white, and I have layered another white card distressed with Worn Lipstick DI, no pattern paper this time :). Then I have done some horizontal and vertical layering with dry embossing, only a little is seen as there are more layers adding up. The focal image is a Digi and I have coloured usink Distress Inks, I just love the cutie. Finally, some embellishing with ribbon, pearls and blooms.Only, the white blooms are handmade using MFT die, the rest are bought ones. On the whole, I like the ways its turned out.

Vintage tag

Hi All,

This time its a tag, creating a tag for the first time ;).I have completely fallen in love with the vintage style and the gorgeous lady stamp.I need to start collecting more of vintage stamp sets. Onto the tag, really interesting to make your own background and embellishments, I love to use more of pattern papers and this time making my own pattern paper was real fun, What I did was, nothing too great about it, I used one of the flower stamp from My Minds Eye and stamped it all over white CS distressed with Vintage photo, you can see this only on the sides of the tag, coz I wanted the lady to stand on it.For the first time, I made my own handmade embellishment, I always use readily available flowers ;) I made the flowers using the Cuttlebug scalloped flower die. I made a small slit across each petal, scrampled it up, opened it again very gently and distressed with Vintage photo, layered it using metallic brads. The rest is pretty much easy peasy and the tag says it all :)

Here is a pic of the tag,
